|| Strategy DescriptionIcewell Keep is the home of Dain, the lord of the Coldain, and is also where justice is dealt, deep within the Pit. Surrounding AreasIcewell Keep is deeper in the mountains than the city it is part of, Thurgadin. The new throneroom in Icekeep has recently been converted and now has the entrance to the deadly Pit in the center of it, presumably for quick removal of those who displease the Dain. DangersThe Pit area below the Keep is a very lethal area, as intended for the punishment and death of the enemies of the Coldain. There are two ways to enter the Pit area, the main one being in the center room in the Dain's chambers. To enter this way, you need to use levitate, and be aware that some creatures see through invis. The other, far more dangerous way, is to enter through the front bridge chasm in Thurgadin. This is more lethal because you are required to pass through a narrow, long corridor to reach the area under the Keep, and then from there pass through to other zones. The other danger is that there are monsters along the way that see through invis and will aggro you, so you are guaranteed to be attacked passing this way. Also, there is no way back up out of the chasm in Thurgadin, so you need to be able to either get through here or gate out. BenefitsUnknown. Travelling To and From Icewell KeepIcewell Keep can be reached from Thurgadin by reaching loc 220, 30. There is also an entrance that you can get to through the caverns underneath the bridge in Thurgadin that leads directly to the Pit. Local ColorPlaces Icewell Keep serves two purposes to the Coldain. First and foremost, it is the home of their king, Dain Coldhammer. It has meeting halls and other areas of interest. The second purpose is to serve justice to the Coldain's enemies. Buried beneat the castle is the ancient Pit, a large set of caverns filled with the most horrible creatures imaginable. People that don't please the Dain are sent into the Pit right before his eyes to die a horrible death. People The Coldain have made this their home for quite some time. Having very limited experience with outsiders, they tend to view all outsiders apprehensively, but equally, unless they prove themselves enemies or friends. The king of the Coldain resides here, occasionally taking court in his throne room. Although he is tolerant of outsiders, they still must be careful in his presence, especially with the Pit being so nearby... |
