Roughly Two-Thirds of Americans Support the BLM Movement (Pew Research)

As expected, support for BLM is VERY high among blacks and Democrats in general, while very low among so-called conservative white Republicans.

In fact, when you turn this data upside-down, it indicates that Republicans are, on average, about twice as racist as Democrats. Heh, no surprise there. So the next time you see some moronic right-wing troll, who's trying to claim that the BLM protesters will somehow swing a bunch of voters over to Trump, just show them this polling data from the Pew Research Center. And then tell them that they're outnumbered 2-to-1 in America.

So I found this old photo of Kamala Harris, from back in 2001...

She must have been around 35 years old in that pic.

I've never been a big fan of Kamala Harris, but she's definitely a lot hotter looking than Mike Pence. Just sayin'...   ;)

I feel the the amount of hatred that Harris gets from the left is disproportionate to her sins.  It is true that she has centrist leanings on some issues and that she's corporate-backed, but she's a long sight better than Hillary Clinton was.

When Tulsi Gabbard was still in the race, her toxic acolytes were the worst offenders when it came to hating Harris, which always puzzled me.

I think I can explain... at least a little bit.

Progressives became disenchanted with Harris after she back stabbed us, by going against her original commitment to support Medicare For All. As soon as her numbers started to wane in the polls, she jumped onboard with corporate donors and they pressured her into disavowing her original commitments. It was a slimy thing for her to do -- and it showed us that when the chips are down, Kamala Harris is just as much of a corporate cocksucker as every other Establishment Democrat. Is she as bad as Hillary..? Hell no -- not by a long shot. But she's still a dishonest, two-faced opportunist. Which, by the way, is probably why Biden selected her to be his running mate: she's a player... and the Establishment loves players.

As for the hostility from Tulsi's supporters... hmm. I think it probably arose from that infamous moment in the first (?) debate, when Tulsi forcefully raised the issue of Harris' past history as a dishonest prosecutor. Tulsi effectively tore Ms. Harris a new asshole, right there on national television. The two camps went to war that day and I gotta say... the people on Tulsi's side were the ones who had the higher moral ground. Just my opinion.

Link to NYT: Trump is again using OUR money for his own personal expenses.

Some highlights:

"The Justice Department moved on Tuesday to replace President Trump's private legal team with government lawyers to defend him against a defamation lawsuit by the author E. Jean Carroll, who has accused him of raping her in a Manhattan department store in the 1990s.  In a highly unusual legal move, lawyers for the Justice Department said in court papers that Mr. Trump was acting in his official capacity as president when he denied ever knowing Ms. Carroll and thus could be defended by government lawyers — in effect underwritten by taxpayer money.  Though the law gives employees of the federal government immunity from most defamation lawsuits, legal experts said it has rarely, if ever, been used before to protect a president, especially for actions taken before he entered office.
...

The Justice Department did not respond to a request for comment on the motion."

Unfuckingbelievable... Oh wait, no it isn't -- not with William Barr as attorney general.  It's funny; I remember thinking Jeff Sessions was like the polestar of human evil when he was still in the cabinet.  I was wrong: William Barr is so much worse.  I hope these fuckers get what they deserve.

Interesting that Trump raised about a billion dollars for his campaign and now, they're saying that Trump is running out of money.

So... where did it all go..? He certainly didn't spend $700+ on his campaign.

LMAO...

Breaking news:

Donald Trump has COVID-19. So does Melania. I shit you not. This is according to Trump himself, who tweeted it sometime after midnight tonight.

Stupid fuckers asked for it. I hope they both die and do the world a favor.

Okay, all kidding aside... I won't believe it until it's been independently verified. I think it's more likely that Trump is trying to manufacture a convenient excuse to dodge the next two debates with Biden. He'll pretend to have COVID and then go hide in his bunker until election day, claiming that he needs to quarantine. Obviously, I could be wrong... but this is Donald Trump that we're talking about. Nothing is beneath this pig.

Karma's a bitch, if he isn't making it up to dodge the debates.

I don't want him to die from it, and I don't want him to suffer enough to gain a sympathy vote. (remember Boris Johnson?)

The bastard needs to be repudiated by the American electorate, and the polls look like it's going that way after the fiasco of a "debate".

As things get closer to election day watch more outrageous "announcements" come out.
That's what forgiveness sounds like. Screaming and then silence.

Well I do.

It would be poetic justice. Due to Trump's negligence and ineptitude, almost a quarter-million innocent American citizens have died. That's a lot of blood on Trump's hands. So what is the customary punishment for a mass murderer of this magnitude..? Death... correct..?

But I'm still not ready to believe that Trump actually has COVID. He could very well be faking it. It's a great excuse for him to dodge the remaining two debates with Biden, for one thing. It also could generate the "sympathy vote" that you mentioned.

It could also give Trump an opportunity to emerge victorious from his fictitious battle with the coronavirus -- and show the world how tough he is. It's the sort of self-aggrandizing crap that we've seen Putin doing from time to time... like when Putin was on Russian TV a few years ago, having staged wrestling matches against much younger opponents.

Latest update is that Trump is hospitalized at Walter Reed.
:D :D :D :D :D

I know how you feel. I understand that for most Americans, the past four years have been a continuous trauma resulting from having the country's village idiot in charge.

Part of me is worried that the undecided middle would spring for Pence if Trump died, since the threat of the orange menace has gone, and the GOP has been trying to smear Biden with association with the imaginary "far left".

Part of me wants to see him spending the rest of his life in court, having his private life upended by the state of New York.

I think he deserves to be punished, and dying from a disease that he has let run rampant, while poetic, won't be the public repudiation that having his lying ass dragged from court to court and then to prison would be.

As he's been hospitalized now, I suspect this is real - the amount of people who would need to be in on it for it to be fake is now too high to be leak-proof.

Well if you want to believe Trump's official lackeys, they say he's having serious difficulty breathing right now. That's the latest report.

But isn't it interesting that, although Melania is supposedly infected as well, she has not been hospitalized. In fact, there's been no mention made at all of any medical care that she may or may not be receiving.

I can't wait until Trump has to answer for his crimes once he's out of office. There have been so many investigations into his criminal Financial dealings that he has been shielded from do due to his office.  And once he is gone, there will be no one to Pardon him the same way that he pardoned his criminal Associates.

Tessera

Quote from: Will Never on October 19, 2020, 02:45:17 PMAnd once he is gone, there will be no one to Pardon him the same way that he pardoned his criminal Associates.

Well he wouldn't be pardoned in any case, because presidential pardoning power is limited to federal cases only. But many, if not most, of Trump's crimes amount to STATE crimes committed mainly in NY and Florida. So what it comes down to is: the only person who could legally pardon Trump in NY would be Gov. Andrew Cuomo... and he hates Trump's guts. NY State could very well lock Trump in prison for more than 10 years... which at his age (along with Trump's poor health) effectively amounts to a life sentence. I think the main reason that Trump recently changed his residence to Florida is because he hopes Gov. DeSantis in Florida will make it difficult for Trump to be extradited to NY. But DeSantis can't hold back the flood of indictments forever.

Now as for the people out there who say things like "Presidents don't go to prison," I have a little quiz for you all:

If ex-presidents supposedly never go to prison, then why did Gerald Ford feel compelled to pardon Richard Nixon..?   ;)

And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to present my choice for the most hilarious Trump quote of all time:

I'm dying with laughter here.  :D

The fucking misogynistic moron relentlessly attacked Michigan's gorgeous governor Whitmer for a solid month
before the election... and now he can't understand why Michiganders voted against him. Fucking hilarious.

Mary Trump asserts that Donald Trump will "try to take the rest of us down with him" during this transition period:

https://youtu.be/_98infWoIT0

She also offers some interesting insights into Trump's lifelong psychosis. Mary Trump is not only Trump's niece, but she's also a clinical psychologist and her insights into Trump's character have been pretty much spot-on.

I think Biden needs to enter office under the assumption that absolutely everything is either broken or missing, and just do a complete, clean sweep of the whole place. Just flush it all down the toilet and start over again from scratch. It's a given that Trump will not willingly participate in any sort of transfer of power traditions and in fact, Trump will probably try to actively sabotage Biden on his way out.

To me, Trump is just like a neurotic little boy who, when you tell him he can't play with his toys anymore, will smash them all up, just to make sure no one else can play with those toys, either.
