Ghislane Maxwell, longtime procurer for Jeffrey Epstein, was arrested today by the FBI.

Now you know why Trump and Barr were trying to make changes, a few weeks ago, over at the SDNY. They knew this was coming.

Trump needs to resign. I'm expecting the Republicans to dump Trump sometime around the end of this summer. They'll probably run Mitt Romney in his place, figuring that Romney's vote to convict Trump during the Senate trial will endear him to right-leaning Independents.

I would be shocked if she is allowed to ruin the lives of all the rich and powerful men who used young girls procured by Maxwell and prostituted by Epstein.

In that extreme unlikelihood...maybe she will be allowed to out Trump, if the Republicans decide to burn him...maybe Bill Clinton to provide a veneer of nonpartisanship.

The woman seems genuine (not that I have a mental blueprint of what rape survivors act like), but I'm not sure of what to make of that case. On one hand, it's certainly not inconceivable that Trump has abused underage girls. There are several other articles that poke holes in this case, and they're all from very left-wing news sites, so there should be no conflict of interest. Apart from lack of credibility, the only other reason I can think of for why this story was buried so quickly is that it might draw too much attention to the child-raping tendencies of the rest of the elite.

You are conveniently ignoring the numerous death threats that she has received. That's why she withdrew her case. It's also why her face is blurred out in that video.

There is no money to be made by this woman. The way you make money is to privately threaten to go public, unless you get a big cash payoff.

Well, she has already gone public... so we can forget about that crap. So have all of the other women who have accused Trump of rape and/or sexual assault.

The only way any of them could make money now would be if the accusations are proven to be true... at which point they can write books and do the talk show circuit.

According to some articles, her representative (Al Taylor/Norm Lubow) initially tried to sell that interview video for a solid 1 million dollars to media outlets. If true, I guess he gave up or it got leaked.

I didn't think much of the death threats because every woman who makes a public sexual assault claim receives them by the truckload, and she was offered round-the-clock security after she failed to show up at a press conference with Lisa Bloom (according to Lisa herself). I can believe that it was simply too much stress for her to continue pursuing the case, but there's been so many spurious sexual assault cases dominating the news cycle that I tend to assume ulterior motives are involved if there isn't any evidence.

How could she pursue a case like this against the president..? She'll have to wait until Trump is out of office. The DOJ is so far up Trump's ass that they'll never allow him to be touched -- until after he's out.

It really doesn't matter if people are trying to make money from her story. The question is whether or not it's TRUE... not whether or not people are trying to exploit it. I could care less if someone makes 20 million bucks from this story... the question still remains as to whether or not it actually happened and if it did, then Trump is an incredibly sick and dangerous individual. He belongs behind bars, for the rest of his life.

It is also important to understand that there are some very powerful people out there who will surely be trying to fight this by disseminating disinformation. So the things that you have read about the case could very well be completely fabricated bullshit.

Two-dozen women have accused Trump of similar crimes. So either there's some vast and complicated conspiracy -- involving numerous women who have never met each other -- to accuse Trump of crimes he didn't commit... OR...

It's true. Which would be entirely consistent with what we already know for sure about Trump -- namely that he has paid hush money to women in the past, in return for their silence.

The main reason I thought there might be something to the criticism of the case is that most of it came from relatively left-wing sites like the Guardian and Vox. I realize that these outlets are essentially manipulated by the aliens from They Live, but they normally jump at the chance to give maximum support to any anti-Trump cause, so something unusual must be going on here. I was probably naive to think that child abuse at the hands of any powerful person would get non-manipulated coverage in a mainstream source, though. Except posthumously.
