Robert Mueller has finally agreed to testify publicly, before the House, on July 17th.

Get ready for Trump's next panicky tweet storm. Should be any day now.  ::)

The motherfucker is over a barrel and he knows it. He has been accused of being a serial rapist, by very credible women. His cruel policies are now responsible for multiple deaths at the border, as well as the wholesale abuse of thousands of helpless little children. How anyone could possibly recover from all of this seems impossible to me. Trump is a horrible, sadistic and evil man and he must be punished for his crimes.

To the women of America: do you really want to vote for an openly misogynistic man who is a rapist, who also abuses children, and who supports the evil anti-abortion laws that are currently going into effect in several red states..? Don't you women have any respect for yourselves..? Did the women's rights movement and the sacrifices made by those women mean anything to you..? Yes or no..? If the answer is yes, then you can't possibly support Trump and the Republicans in all good conscience. You may or may not like the Democrats, but at least the Dems aren't trying to set you back 200 years.

Republican women will vote exactly as their owners (husbands or fathers) and their pastors tell them to, as they always have. They may as well just put on the fucking hijab and call it a day. :P

Right-wingers in general care more about religion, white supremacy, and "owning the libs" than they do about the actual problems in the world. >:(

Of course, their fairy tales tell them that Jeebus will come down and destroy this sinful world and whisk all the "good people" up to heaven. So why should they give a fuck about the planet? ::)

I have a feeling that the current attacks upon women's rights will work on their subconscious. Yes, there are plenty of Republican women who are happy to be obedient little slaves and do whatever the men tell them to do. But not all.

And keep in mind that voting is a private affair. I think a lot of women will tell their men one thing... and then pull a different lever (so to speak) when they actually get into the voting booth.

In other news...

Did anyone watch the two nights of debates between the Democratic nominees..?

Well actually, we can't even call them "debates." You can't have a proper debate when there are ten people on the stage, all waving their hands and shouting and trying to catch our attention during the measly 30 seconds allotted to each answer. This was more of an elimination round, than a debate. Kind of like a battle royal: let's see who fucks up the most and gets eliminated.

For example, on the first night, Tulsi Gabbard did an excellent job of ripping Tim Ryan to pieces. She was calm, cool and collected and she nailed the hawkish little weasel to the wall. It was bad -- Ryan may as well just drop out now. And on the second night, Kamala Harris famously took Joe Biden apart and I'm sure it will seriously hurt his poll ratings. Of course, Joe is the corporate Establishment's favorite little darling, so you can bet that they'll be frantically engaging in damage control for all of next week. But in my opinion, Joe Biden is now following his already established pattern: he starts off strong, on name recognition alone, and then as soon as he gets to the debate stage and opens his mouth... ZOOM, his standing plummets. This has been Biden's pattern every single time he has run for president, so at least he remains consistent, in that regard. I've heard that some people were playing a drinking game: take a drink every time that Biden says the word "Obama" during the debate. Must have been a lot of serious hangovers the next morning.

For me, one of the high points of the first night (if we can call it that), was this tasty little moment:

Go home, Beto. Just go home. And take Amy Klobuchar with you. She's as exciting as watching two flies fuck -- and all I hear when she speaks, is "You should vote for me, because I'm a nice lady from the Midwest." I think she'd be a great librarian... but president..? No way.   ::)

CANDIDATES WHO DID WELL IN THE DEBATES:
Elizabeth Warren
Tulsi Gabbard
Bernie Sanders
Pete Buttigieg
Kamala Harris

CANDIDATES WHO DID MEDIOCRE OR POORLY:

Everyone else.

YES, Captain Spell Check, let's have California SUCCEED from the union!

Here in California, we are the wealthiest state, we have the largest population in the country, we have the highest GDP in America, we have the 5th highest GDP in the entire world, we grow more food than any other state, we have the biggest computer industry, the entertainment industry, a burgeoning tourism economy, more ethnic diversity than any other state, the best fighter pilots in the entire world, and you need us far more than we need you. If we secede from the Union, as many Californians would like to do, then the rest of America will go belly-up within five years. So by all means, write to your congressman and ask them to kick us out of your diseased, Nazi shithole of a country. We can't wait.

Mueller's appearance this morning was pretty damning, in my opinion.

However...

We need to see what effect, if any, his testimony has upon public opinion. These things usually take about a week or so to sink in... so pay attention to Trump's approval ratings next week and the week after.

If Trump's approval takes a nose dive (as I expect it will), then that's good... it means that Mueller's appearance has had the intended effect upon the electorate.

If, on the other hand, Trump's approval stays the same or... by some miracle... it actually goes up, then we'll know that the American republic is effectively doomed.

In which case, we're back to the same advice that I've been posting on this site for the past decade: BUY GUNS -- AND LEARN HOW TO USE THEM. The only thing worse than a gun is not having one when you need it. If this country becomes any more divided than it already is, then I suspect we're all gonna need it.

Agreed, judging from all the political shit online, everyone seems to be going nuts.

Very definitely.

On the left, we smell blood in the water now... and we're ramping up the pressure on Trump and the Republicans. Big time.

On the right, they're behaving like any wounded and cornered animal would: lashing out frantically and blindly in all directions. Lots of them are even talking about a civil war... which is laughable, but also predictable.

Interesting side note: within a mere 8 minutes after Mueller finished up all of his testimony to the House, Trump's lawyers panicked and filed some sort of "emergency motion" to block the New York courts from obtaining Trump's state tax returns. That's gotta be some kind of new world record... 8 minutes..?!?! You can smell the fear.  ::)

Did anybody else hear about this?

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2019/7/24/1874237/-Looks-like-someone-pranked-Trump-at-his-Turning-Point-USA-appearance

Trump actually spoke in front of the Turning Point USA conference for young Republicans and didn't notice he was standing in front of a fake presidential seal specifically tailored to mock him! (Supposedly displaying the fake seal was an accidental result of looking for a Presidential seal on the web.) Keep in mind that Trump sees the Presidential seal ALL THE FUCKING TIME since he is, technically, the president, but was too fucking stupid to realize he was being mocked. :o ::) 8)

The fake image has several key modifications:

1) The American eagle has effectively been replaced with the two-headed eagle from the Russian coat of arms, though colored like the American eagle instead of Russian gold.

2) The motto "E Pluribus Unum" has been replaced with "45 es un titere", Spanish for "45 is a puppet". A hand puppet, not a marionette, indicating Putin's hand up Trump's ass.

3) On the top of the shield, normally blank, five hammer-and-sickle stamps have been placed.

4) Instead of clutching an olive branch and a sheaf of arrows, the eagle is gripping a wad of cash and a bunch of golf clubs.

Genius! ;D ;D ;D

The original artist sells merchandise emblazoned with the Trump seal here: https://inktale.com/onetermdonnie/trumps-presidential-seal

I bought a coffee mug.  8)

LOL Cylnar.... yeah, I saw that story. Apparently, the aide responsible for that prank was fired today.

Trump has clearly devolved into being a pathetic laughing stock around the world.   ::)

It would appear that a lot (probably most) of the Trumptards out there have failed to understand how impeachment works... so let me help you.

First of all, we really don't care if the Senate refuses to convict Trump. They'll pay for that mistake in the 2020 election.

No, what we care about is the PROCESS within the House. Impeachment is not a legal process -- it is a POLITICAL process. Which means that Barr, Trump's lawyers and the courts will have NO POWER at all during those proceedings. The House can obtain documents, force witness testimonies and secure hard evidence as they see fit, with no possibility of outside interference. And then, all of that information will be made public. This is chiseled in stone within the Constitution, kiddies. If you would like to learn more, then I suggest reading up about the constitutional separation of powers within the U.S. federal government.

So no matter what the Republicans do or don't do, Trump will be torn apart and humiliated in the eyes of the voters and the entire world. Got it now..?   ;)

You think they're holding on to an impeachment investigation until next year?

So that the litany of his various high crimes and misdemeanors are fresh in the public's mind when they go to vote?

I do.

But they may not get the luxury of waiting that long. As of now, a majority of House Democrats favor impeachment. Also, public pressure is mounting. Nancy Pelosi has always been a catty little bitch and I think she's just trying to time this in such a way that it leads to a political advantage for the Democrats. Contrary to the bullshit that you often see on the web, Pelosi has never said "I won't impeach Trump." Up until recently, what she's been saying is "I won't impeach Trump right now." What we would all like to see most of all is Trump removed from office (one way or another) and then imprisoned.

I think this photo says it all:

That's little Ivanka in the photo with Trump and Epstein. She was around 10 or 12 years old at the time.

Anyone sick to their stomach yet..?

Trump's Approval Rating Declines

Here's a new Trump approval poll, showing the breakdown between different demographic groups:

As expected, Trump's highest approval is among uneducated white men.  ::)

Women hate him; non-whites REALLY hate him.
