Just in case anybody was wondering, I'll be supporting Bernie Sanders for president in 2016.

He's the only one of the major candidates who is liberal enough to suit me.

Furthermore... there is no question in my mind that, during the first Democratic debate (hosted by CNN), Bernie absolutely demolished all of the other candidates.

I also feel that Bernie is the only candidate who isn't secretly sucking corporate cock behind closed doors.

Gotta like that he's an unabashed socialist who isn't afraid to own the term or stand up for true liberal policies that have slowly been abandoned over the last 40 years by "mainstream" Democrats.

On November 23rd, 2015, Killer Mike sat down with Senator Bernie Sanders at The SWAG Shop in Atlanta, GA to discuss topics ranging from gun control to democratic socialism.

Liked the part where they talk about people being pitted against each other.

The question is: can he "Stump the Trump"? I can't say I have a first hand experience of American politics all the way from Africa, but Trump sure seems to be talked about far more that Sanders, and he's abusing the Syrian/Isis terror to fuel his campaign like a pro. (Not that that's a good thing.)

The media likes to talk about Trump, because he was a celebrity long before he got into politics.

But I can promise you that Donald Trump has zero chance of getting elected as President. He isn't right-wing enough to serve the rather extreme agenda of the modern Republican party. I would be mildly surprised if he actually ended up being the Republican nominee.

A series of straw polls, conducted over the course of the past few months, shows that Bernie Sanders is significantly more popular than any of the other Democratic candidates.

In the most recent of these polls (which was conducted in December), when asked "Who do you think has the best chance to defeat the Republicans in 2016," the results are as follows:

Hillary Clinton -- 32%  
Bernie Sanders -- 46%  
Martin O'Malley -- 2.0%  
Undecided -- 17%

Clearly, the American people are ready to embrace the most liberal candidate (Sanders), which I see as being a further indication that this country has been taking a big swing to the left during the post-Bush era.

Currently, Sanders enjoys a 14-point lead over Hillary Clinton... and yet the media spends far more time talking about Hillary and Donald Trump than they spend on Bernie Sanders. Not surprising, given the fact that the mass media are, for the most part, pro-Establishment toadies and corporate boot-lickers. To make matters worse, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz... the current leader of the Democratic National Committee... is in bed with Hillary and has been doing her sneaky, nasty, hyphenated-last-name best to torpedo the Sanders campaign.

Yet in spite of all of that insidious horseshit, Bernie Sanders continues to rise in popularity. He has been the clear winner in every single televised debate, which has no doubt impressed people far more than Hillary's corporate-funded campaign commercials. Go, Bernie..!!!

Haha well, from my outside perspective, Bernie Sanders certainly sounds like the better option. Can't say that much more about it though, my countries economy is tanking because we haven't bothered to get rid of our President idiot yet...

Well... Bernie fans should be pleased to know that the members of MoveOn.org... the largest grassroots organization in America... overwhelmingly voted (nearly 80%) to support Bernie Sanders in the primaries. Roughly 17% voted to support Hillary, with the remaining few percent of MoveOn members being undecided.

This vote to support Bernie was also the single biggest response by MoveOn's members in the organization's history. It represents an unprecedented show of support... no other candidate has ever received such strong support from MoveOn.org as Bernie Sanders has. Think about it: there were nearly 350,000 respondents (a record for MoveOn), of which nearly 80% voted for MoveOn to fully support the Sanders campaign.

Bernie is gaining momentum against Hillary... BIG time. If he manages to win both the Iowa and New Hampshire caucuses, then the Democratic Party will have no excuse not to make him their official presidential nominee. Debbie Hyphenated-Schultz be damned.

MoveOn.org did Hillary in eight years ago too, when its membership voted to endorse Barack Obama instead. Maybe history can repeat itself here...with a President worthy of the office.

What I worry about the most is this: the last time we had a candidate who was so far to the left, he was KILLED. I'm referring to Robert Kennedy, back in '68. The Establishment has already shows us that they have no qualms about murdering anyone who stand between them and their greed... and their power-mongering. So I hope Bernie is sharp enough to realize just how dangerous his life is becoming.

I'd also like to say that I have no problem with the notion of a woman as our president. Just not THAT woman. Hillary Clinton is a player... and I hate players. She voted for the Iraq war, she worked hard to jam every American into privatized HMO's (which is, in fact, at the core of "Obamacare")... instead of what Bernie wanted: which was a true, single-payer, national health care system.

Anyway, Bernie's numbers keep growing, where as Hillary's numbers keep shrinking. I doubt that she will have the support that she needs to become the next Democratic candidate. But if she gets her party's nomination anyway, then you can be sure that The Establishment is once again usurping our sham democracy and throwing their weight behind one of their own. Namely: Hillary the player.

Let's hope that it doesn't come to that.

Ben and Jerry... the famous ice cream moguls... have thrown their support behind Bernie Sanders for President.

In this excerpt from a recent statement, Ben (Cohen) and Jerry (Greenfield) explained why they feel confident that Sanders is the best candidate:

Sounds good to me... and I agree with everything that Ben and Jerry have said about Bernie. Particularly the part where they point out that, despite the apparently endless nay-saying and skepticism from the political establishment, Bernie Sanders has nevertheless been victorious in nearly every single election that he has participated in. The talking heads out there need to realize that this country is swinging a lot further to the left than the mass media would have us believe.

IOWA CAUCUS RESULTS


Well, the preliminary results are in for the Iowa caucus... and as one might expect, it's pretty much a dead heat between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. As of this time, most of the major news outlets are declaring this race "too close to call."

As of the time of this posting, Clinton is leading by a very tiny margin:

CLINTON: 49.9% 49.8%
SANDERS: 49.6%

Look at that... they're separated by a mere 0.3 percent. With numbers like that, I think we need to declare this one a tie. SEE UPDATE BELOW

However... according to C-SPAN, there are already allegations being made of alleged voter fraud being perpetrated by the Clinton camp:

So, is Hillary guilty of trying to illegally stack this race in her favor..? I honestly have no idea... it's too soon to say anything one way or the other, until we have more facts.

In any case, the talking heads have been predicting that Hillary would emerge as "the clear winner" in Iowa... when in fact, the actual results are not very clear at all. Officially, the two candidates are almost exactly tied with one another. And if these allegations of voter fraud should turn out to have any actual truth to them, then Bernie Sanders may very well be the actual winner in Iowa tonight.

THE BOTTOM LINE: it's still too close to call. Bernie Sanders continues to enjoy a VERY strong showing. Hillary Clinton has the name recognition on her side... but Bernie Sanders has the ISSUES, which are far more important. The candidate (Sanders) that the Establishment have been saying "can't get elected" is actually turning out to be extremely popular. MoveOn.org, Michael Moore, Susan Sarandon, Ben and Jerry, and many, many, many others are beginning to step forward and throw their support behind Sanders for president. This is becoming a very interesting race... and it could also turn into a major upset.


UPDATE: Hillary Clinton's lead has now been updated... from 49.9% down to 49.8% (a decrease of 0.1 percent). I don't know if this decrease has anything to do with the allegations of a deliberate miscount in the so-called "Clinton precincts" or not... but it would appear that this race between Clinton and Sanders is, indeed, not just a virtual tie, but an actual tie. The votes are still being tabulated as I write this... and we could see Clinton's tiny lead become even tinier before the night is through.
