What I linked is from a movie at the store I worked at, and it's pretty tame compared to some stuff that's out there, that I can't unsee.

Sadly most porn falls into the category of "Gross shit, you don't want to see".
I won't say it's exploitative, because it isn't.
The people that get into it(In the states) get into it because they want to(for the most part).

People that are habitual porn renters tend to go further down the path of debauchery the longer they rent porn.

The Asst. Manager at the store I worked at figures it's because they get desensitised to the normal stuff, and have to go further down the rabbit hole to get off.

I disagree with most of your statements (and attitudes) regarding adult entertainment.

Sexual repression is what turns some people into perverts. And that is the ONLY thing that does,
in our modern society. The proof is in the statistics: the most perverted people are found within
the countries which are the most sexually repressed... where as the least perverted people
tend to be found within the countries which are the least sexually repressed.

Adult entertainment is simply adult entertainment. Perversion comes from another source entirely.

It could have been the fact that I was living in Winnipeg at the time(Manitoba is a fairly religious place) that skewed the results so heavily, but as I said:
The vast majority of heavy renters went from the vanilla porn to the freaky deaky shit after a few years.

What is considered a perversion is entirely based off of culture.
Just like the most common religion(And whether or not you're likely to be religious in the first place) is dictated by the region that you were born/choose to reside in.

I can't even remember anymore -- there have been so many.

There are probably less than a thousand people actively playing AoC these days.

AoC is beyond dead at this point. It's become undead. It's the motherfucking Thing That Wouldn't Die.
This game has been flopping around like a chicken with its head cut off for the past four years.

Funcom must be using AoC as a tax write-off at this point, because there's no possible way that they could
be making any profit from it.

Given their extremely low server populations, which makes grouping and raiding all but impossible during
most times of the day, they may as well convert the entire game into a single-player affair and then
re-release it as such. At least that way, AoC wouldn't be a total loss.
