WoW Cataclysm: Worst Expansion Yet..?

Yeah... well, the best response to ActiVision's ongoing destruction of WoW is a simple one:

Stop paying them. All of you who are reading this thread should, in my carefully considered opinion, discontinue your WoW subscriptions and move your entire guilds over to a private server.


And if you really want to play the game in style, then just take a look at this picture:




What you see there is my own mage... the infamous "Tessera" that I took my online name from. She's wearing epic gear in every slot... I've simply changed the way that her gear appears (including making some of it be completely invisible, like her chest piece). And that pic isn't photo-shopped, nor is it someone else's cheesy looking nude WoW mod (there are several really dreadful ones out there on the web). Nope, those are my own high quality, fully-nude skin textures. And on -my- private WoW server... which is currently in development... ALL of the girls are going to look as gorgeous as my juicy little mage does.

The point that I am trying to make here is simply that NOBODY needs to keep paying ActiVision/Blizzard another penny for their shitty pay-to-play version of WoW. I happen to enjoy a bit of adult content in my games... mainly because -I- am an adult and that's what I am entertained by. Lots of adults enjoy a bit of bare skin in their games. It's quite natural... but you may prefer something else. Well on a private server, you can play the game YOUR way... and without being annoyed by brats, gold spammers, griefers and morons. Not to mention the idiotic and detached devs at Blizzard... and the greedy parasites in ActiVision, who hold their leashes.

So listen up, folks: stop bitching and whining on the official Blizz boards and just cancel your subs. And then, start learning about how you can play WoW for free... and in any way that you and your friends prefer. And if you are an adult and you would like to learn more, then just join this board or send me an e-mail, and I'll be happy to give you the facts.

As for my nude WoW girls... I will in fact be releasing them in the near future. So stay tuned.

So the word on the street is that due to the way Cataclysm has destroyed whatever charm WoW had left, veteran players have been canceling their subscriptions left and right.

I don't know if that rumor is true or not... and we certainly won't get any accurate information out of ActiVision/Blizzard... but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it were true.

Good job, ActiVision. Once again, you have managed to step in and utterly ruin the brilliant efforts of others. Sometimes I wonder how the fuck you people stay in business.

Hopefully, that will change in the not too distant future. Parasites.

It's a pity the game is ruined by activision...

I wanted to buy this expansion mainly because of the ability to fly anywhere with a flying mount(was playing as a draenei frost dk)

DK's used to be very powerful. Nowadays their dmg has been nerfed  more & more as every update arrives...

From the looks of things, I'll pass...

Now seriously, DKs were quite overpowered, specially blood ones back in the day: you could tank with them, you could heal yourself every now and then, you would have more runic power than you could use (frost had the "spend 40-50 and make an attack"), and had almost all the impressive cooldowns. I had a druid, a pally and a DK at max level when I left the game, and the DK required the least amount of effort to gear, learn and do impressive things. And the funny thing is that the professions I had with that toon were herbalism and mining... yeah, it was my farming toon! XD

DK's were a gimmick, to sell expansion packs. Everybody knew that they were OP'ed... and everybody knew that they would eventually be nerfed to death, as soon as Blizzard had sold enough copies of WotLK to make their accountants happy. Just more proof that Blizzard's primary reason for making changes to WoW had nothing to do with "game balance." Their primary reason for making changes is to increase their profits... regardless of how much they imbalance the game. I was making similar accusations against Blizzard back in the "Mage Union" days... long before there was any such things as Death Knights. I saw all of that shit coming... lots of other people saw it coming, too.

Just saw a website ad indicating that WoW is now free to play up until level 20. :laugh:

Funcom just did the same thing with their ailing Age Of Conan MMO.
Free to play, up to a certain level... or some such shit.

Maybe this is their way of trying to compete against private servers.
Who knows..? Who cares..? They need to be driven out of business.

The gaming industry... the motion picture industry... the music industry.
All of them need to be smashed via online pirating. All three of those nasty
industries are guilty of prostituting the arts and dumbing down our culture,
all in the name of corporate greed. I can't think of anyone more worthy of
being mercilessly punished by the public... until those greedy fuckers finally

Yup DK's have indeed been nerfed to death...

Here's the details on the latest patch notes:

Death Knights

•Obliterate base damage has been reduced to 150% weapon damage, down from 160%.
•Talent Specializations
•Frost
•Hungering Cold now has a 1.5-second cast time.
•Might of the Frozen Wastes now increases two-handed weapon damage by 3/7/10%, down from 4/8/12%.
•Unholy
•Unholy Might now increases Strength by 20%, up from 5%.
•Glyphs
•Glyph of Dark Succor has been redesigned. Rather than placing a 15% maximum health floor on Death Strike healing while in Frost or Unholy Presence, it causes the next Death Strike within 15 seconds after killing a foe that yields experience or Honor Points to heal for at least 20% of the death knight's maximum health (still requires Frost or Unholy Presence).
•Death Knight Bug Fixes
•The talent Killing Machine can now properly be triggered from off-hand attacks as well as main-hand attacks.

I doubt he will as well, though I would like to see some enhanced retexures for them. Blizzard needs to update them and sadly, they won't.

Sorry guys... but once again, I need to remind everyone that I retired from modding a couple of years ago,
due to what I perceived as a lack of proper support from the public. Any mods that I create these days are
primarily for my own enjoyment. On occasion, I might release a few odds and ends to our tessmage.com
members... if and as I feel so inclined. But generally speaking, I am no longer taking requests.

Having said all of that, I understand that these screenshots that I post could be taken as being some sort
of a "tease" on my part. I even received a private message a short while ago, from an irate member who
was essentially scolding me for showing off new mods that I have no intention of releasing. My answer
to him/her was simply that this is my web site, and on my web site, I see nothing wrong with displaying
my own artwork. It isn't meant as an advertisement of any kind... it is simply me sharing a bit of eye
candy with the rest of you. And that's it... for the time being, that's as far as it goes.

At the risk of blowing my own horn (again), I gotta say that my mage is without a doubt the hottest looking
mage in WoW history. Not only because of the combination of features that I selected when I first created her,
but also because she has been completely re-textured by yours truly. You will never find anything that looks
anywhere near as luscious in the default game. Which is a shame, actually... because my textures show that
Blizzard -could- have done a much better job with their texture work, if they had been so inclined.

Well... yeah, for a WoW chick. A certain amount of imagination is still needed.

All of the character models in this game are very cartoon-ish and exaggerated looking. They were meant to be caricatures. But from amongst all of the female races, the human girls are the only ones who were given fairly realistic physical proportions. Sure, they have over-sized thighs and calves... but not nearly so badly as say, the Night Elves. I never did understand why people were so attracted to the Elf races... because to my eye, they both look like gangly, strung-out circus freaks. Huge feet... huge hands... tiny tits... horrible looking legs... they're just YUCKY, in my opinion. I will concede that the Blood Elf girls have a decent looking ass... and their legs aren't TOO bad... but the human girls have an even better looking ass. And the human girls also have a pair of big, jiggly boobs... which is just the icing on the cake.

Anyway, that's why I haven't bothered to do any re-skins for the Night Elves. I tried once... and yeah, they looked a little bit better. But their horrible body mesh was still staring me in the face, so I abandoned that project. As for the Blood Elves, I am indeed working on a re-skin for those girls... but with mixed results:




See what I mean..? Her skin looks nicer now, sure... but the shape of her body is just... BLEH. At least, that's the way I see it.

Her chest in particular looks terrible. She reminds me of a 12-year-old girl, who has only just entered puberty. Not for me, thanks.

The worst part of the BE female might be the chest, but the hips are quite disturbing, at least for me. I mean, it's like she has been wearing a corset for her entire life, looking for a very exaggerated wasp's waist. That, coupled with the face, makes me thing of bulimia, or anorexia...

As for the Night Elf philia, I bet it was the voice actress. The NE female was the closest thing to Bloodlines' V.V., if I must make some sort of reference (stretching the imagination... V.V.'s voice is so much better, it cannot be cuantifyed...). Also, it was the only "exotic" race that wasn't directly monstruous or, well, a midget of sorts. Which is the same as to say "there were human chicks, there were night elf chicks, and there were jokes"...
