In other news, the NYT is reporting that Trump's legal team is going to ask the senate to cancel the impeachment trial by seeking an immediate acquittal.  The republican controlled senate will likely comply.  So far, republicans have set the trial's course to NOT include witnesses and testimony that the president has blocked, as well as giving in to demands that the trial occur behind closed doors.  My god, how far this country has fallen.

Which means that most Americans and indeed, most of the world will believe that Trump is an illegitimate president.
Most people will also believe that the Republicans in Congress are hired thugs and criminals.
